	Lucía Lighting and Design Receives Best of North Shore by Northshore Magazine Lucia Lighting and Design received the Best of North Shore (BONS) Editor's Pick Award from Northshore Magazine. “At Lucía Lighting & Design’s restored mansion you can find just about every form of lighting known to humankind in 12 showrooms spread out over 8,000 square feet,” was part of the glowing review of Lucia Lighting and Design which also won Best Lighting Showroom in Boston Magazine in 2008. Owner Lucy Dearborn, who was named Business Owner of the Year by the Lynn Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled with the honor noting,”I am over the moon with excitement about the award. It is truly an honor to be recognized by Northshore Magazine. My entire staff contributes to the shining success of Lucia Lighting and Design and is also delighted to be honored,” says Dearborn.

Girls' Inc. Wine & Dinner hosted by Lucía Lighting & Design Lucía Lighting & Design recently hosted a wine dinner for a group of supporters of Girls' Inc., Lynn. The dinner was an auction item enjoyed by 12 lucky bidders, with the wine donated by Lucía owner Lucy Dearborn. Chef Pam Granese of In Good Taste catering created a gourmet four-course meal to complement the wines.

Dining by Design 2008 Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS is one of the country's largest supporters of direct care for people living with HIV/AIDS and preventative education for those at risk. Merging care and commerce, supporters of DIFFA come from all fields of fine design and the visual arts, including architecture, fashion design, interior design, photography and consumer product design. Dining by Design is a one-of-a-kind, spectacular fundraising event. The cause assembles some of the most talented, intriguing and celebrated individuals in the Boston design community, and pairs them with generous Table Hosts to create three-dimensional dining installations that are works of art.

DLF vs. IES in Bowling for Dollars Lucy Dearborn, a member of the Designers Lighting Forum of New England (DLF-NE), organized the 2008 holiday gathering — Bowling for Dollars 2008!
